Originally purchased as a baby gift for my first grandchild, it’s taken me 8 years to decide on the design for the 5” square needlework insert. And now that I have two grandchildren, I guess I’ll have to keep the bank for myself in order to avoid jealousy (who knows that could have been my ulterior motive anyway).

Made by Sudberry House, this oak and plexiglas bank is a one-of-a-kind treasure. All Sudberry House wood accessories are handcrafted from hardwoods and completely finished with a fine lacquer finish. My husband fell in love with the fully assembled and completed project, and I guess you know that means he’ll probably end up with the bank instead.

I chose warm honey and peach colors to blend in with the wood, and the 4-way Bargello design was a bit tricky but well worth the effort.
