The first FREE original Bargello Needlepoint birthday design is one of my granddaughter, Gabby’s favorite!

She loves balloons, and was responsible for choosing the color scheme for this design.

Bargello Birthday Balloons is based on Day 43: Bargello Grapes Design. It has a 4-2 step pattern (over 4 threads and up or down 2).

    I love, love, love what you’re doing! You are such an inspiration. I stitch, crochet and knit, so I love to work with fibers/yarns and a needle or hook, but I’ve never done bargello. My mother taught me crewel embroidery and was a very talented stitcher. I am inspired to try bargello because I know my Mom would have loved it and because of the wonderful ideas and information you have provided. Thanks!!!!

  5. Nancy, I hope you will have lots of fun. One way to use it is to make a personal gift tag by stitching it on paper or plastic canvas. I’m thinking of doing that for my granddaughter’s 4th birthday this year. Althea
