Week 4: Bargello Needlepoint Christmas Bell Ornament
Christmas bells are so popular that every holiday tradition uses the bell. From gift wrap to door hangers to collars for dogs and horses, Christmas bells make us think about the joys and festivities of the season. This Bargello Needlepoint Christmas Ornament uses three shades of gold metallic to depict a shiny hand bell—the kind used to play Christmas carols. A tiny plastic ring covered with gold thread makes the bell’s clapper come alive.
Week 5: Bargello Needlepoint Snowman Ornament
Today, the snowman has come to symbolize fun during the Christmas holidays. You find pictures of snowmen on cards, note paper, in coloring books and…yes, ornaments like this Bargello Needlepoint Snowman Christmas Ornament. Watch as this snowman sparkles on a blue background awash with falling snowflakes.
Week 6: Bargello Needlepoint Christmas Candles Ornament
In the Victorian Era Christmas candles were used to decorate the tree. Each branch would have a candle attached to it with melted wax or pins. The candle represented the star that guided the three wise men to the dwelling place of Jesus, the Christ Child. Beginners and experienced stitchers will find this Bargello Needlepoint Christmas Candles Ornament quick and easy to make. To complete the ornament little flames of fire are added to the top of each candle as a symbol of Christ’s message of peace, love, and joy.
