Bargello Needlepoint Diary Day 4

I’ve been busy stitching the center of my bargello needlepoint pillow design and did not want to write another word until I could show the results of my labor.

I had to laugh after placing my last center stitch, for the color combination looked just like the pattern in the window draperies in my embroidery nook and cranny (wonder what that says about the power of suggestion or something). Since I love those draperies and spend quite a bit of time in the nook and cranny, I guess using the colors and a little bit of the draperies’ design in stitching the pillow is a good thing because the finished bargello needlepoint pillow will most likely end up there anyway!

I’ve been dreaming of Silk n Ivory threads and how they would add a smooth feel and calm background for portions of my bargello needlepoint design. Not sure, how things will unfold…so back to the stash for some color re-thinking.
