Bargello Needlepoint Diary Day 7

Bargello Needlepoint, flame stitch, needlepoint pillow, needlepoint project

It’s Day 7 and I’ve been stitching like crazy! I’m determined to complete this bargello needlepoint pillow for my Niece’s graduation gift. That will give me enough time to make it into a finished pillow and gift wrap it for the ceremony.

I’ve just completed the bottom right corner using a two-way modified bargello flame stitch pattern. I used the softer muted green, mauve and cream colors for this section along with a dark forest green accent. They will remind my niece of her experience in New Zealand as an exchange student. She would frequently write about the beauty of the earth, land and country.

Although I took a short break today to make a Needlepoint Leaf Ornament, I was still able to reach my goal. It was a great stitching day.
