This FREE Bargello needlepoint pattern by Su Mwamba of TangleCrafts showcases the long stitch extremely well. It’s called Bobbin Along and looks like a box of thread or bobbin spools.
Originally designed as an insert for a key chain, the pattern can be repeated to make a box top cover, pillow or other project. You can even add a border or two or combine with other Bargello stitch techniques to create a truly unique design. Bobbin Along is stitched on 18-mesh canvas using the full 6 strands of cotton floss.
