Found on pp. 58-59 in Designs for Bargello by Nikki Scheuer , it is a bit quirky to stitch.

Unlike many curved Bargello design, this one uses 2-2 step as well as 4-2 steps in its pattern.

The key to stitching success for this one is to start at the midpoint of the bottom edge of the canvas and work the low and high curve outlines.

The color photo on page 70 indicates that the design has a lot of color; so I used 6 different shades of Silk n’ Ivory to work the Bargello design.

  1. Hello Ann,

Yes, it was tricky to stitch; but fun nevertheless.

It made me think of a crown when I saw your picture!
Beautifull and lively colours (somewhat tricky to stich I suspect) :-)
