This beautiful Bargello pattern is typical of Navajo Indian designs.
Found on pp. 138-139 in Designs for Bargello by Nikki Scheuer with color photo on page 80, it is the last pattern in the book.
According to the designer, the stitch technique of this pattern gives the effect of corduroy. It’s quite easy and simple…just a group of differently colored Gobelin Droit Bargello Filler Stitches that cover 6 threads.
You can use as many colors as you’d like. I used Silk n’ Ivory to work the Bargello pattern.
