Day 15: Confetti Bargello Diamonds Challenge Design

I named this Bargello design “Confetti Diamonds” because that’s just what it looks like when stitched. Imagine this made into a pillow for a baby’s room, or stitched for small projects like a scissors case, needle box, pocket mirror and the like.

Found on p. 58 in Bargello: An Explosion In Color by Margaret Boyles, this is an easy little pattern of small diamonds. The trick is to stitch the basic outline of diamonds in the 4-2 step and then fill in with bright pastel colors.

Stitching this Bargello pattern was loads of fun–especially when trying to figure out where to place the colors.
