Florentine embroidery, bargello, bargello needlepoint patterns, bargello needlepoint, free bargello patterns, bargello stitch, 2010 Bargello Challenge, bargello patterns, bargello embroidery, bargello needlework, needlepoint books, Barbara MullerWhen seen from a distance and worked for large Bargello projects, this Bargello design has a fluid look. It looks like a ribbon banner waving in a breeze.

Found on pp. 20-21 in Florentine Embroidery by Barbara Muller, the 5-1 step Bargello line design uses the Gobelin Droit Bargello Filler Stitch throughout.

I used 6 different shades of silk including Kreinik Silk Mori, Needlepoint Silk, Silk ‘n Colors by The Thread Gatherer, and Silk Impressions by Stef Francis.
