Florentine embroidery, bargello, bargello needlepoint patterns, bargello needlepoint, free bargello patterns, bargello stitch, 2010 Bargello Challenge, bargello patterns, bargello embroidery, bargello needlework, needlepoint books, Barbara MullerThis Bargello design has a crafty step change. One moment you’re stitching a 4-3 step and the next it changes to 4-2.

The Bargello pattern found on pp. 32-33 in Florentine Embroidery by Barbara Muller is easy to stitch. All you need to do is to remain alert to the step changes in the center of the design.

I used Silk n’ Ivory and Paternayan Persian Wool in the recommended colors of brown, green, blue and two yellow to work the Bargello design.
