What is a rhombus? I asked myself this question many times as I stitched today’s Bargello Challenge design found on pp. 52-53 in Florentine Embroidery by Barbara Muller.
The key to working this Hungarian Point Bargello design is to stitch the border first and then completely fill in each rhombus one at a time. Have you figured out what a rhombus is yet?
I used Silk n’ Ivory in the recommended colors to work the design.
By the way, in the case of Bargello needlepoint, a rhombus is a lozenge-shaped motif that seems to work best with the Hungarian Point Bargello stitch.
