Today’s Bargello Needlepoint Line Design, found on pp. 68-69 in Florentine Embroidery by Barbara Muller, looks deceptively simple…BUT it can definitely be challenging, and you can’t put your stitching on autopilot.
A single mistake in counting as well as in color placement will throw off the entire Bargello pattern and produce disappointing results.
I found the 6 recommended color choices interesting and worked 4 of the colors with Paternayan Persian Wool, and the remaining 2 colors in Silk n’ Ivory.

Florentine Embroidery is the creative message of Barbara Muller. It’s amazing how much her personal creative style comes through in the Bargello designs and techniques. |
