Bargello Ogee designs are fun to stitch and can be used for a variety of projects–from pillows to eyeglass cases to wearable art, and even more.
This Bargello pattern found on pp. 76-77 in Florentine Embroidery by Barbara Muller, showcases miniature ogees with a surprise center.
Instead of the usual 4 center stitches that are worked in most ogee designs, this one has 8 stitches of varying lengths ( over 4 and 6 threads).
Color choices can also provide interest. I stitched the 4 recommended colors in Splendor Silk, Silk Mori by Kreinik, and worked the outline in Caron Watercolors.
