This Bargello design found on page 91 in Bargello Magic by Pauline Fischer and Anabel Lasker, consists of a series of parallelograms worked in reverse in alternating rows.
Although classified as an intermediate Bargello needlepoint pattern, it works up quite quickly with an 8-1 step.
Once you have stitch the first group of parallelograms in each alternating row, you will not need to look at the pattern chart to complete your Bargello needlepoint project.
This Bargello design would be great for a belt, watchband, bracelet or headband. Pattern variation can be achieved by changing thread texture, color and design placement.
I used Silk n’ Ivory and DMC Tapestry Wool to stitch the Bargello design.
Interesting Tidbit: Bargello Magic

The key to this Bargello pattern’s repeat lies in starting the first stitch of the second row of parallelograms directly above the middle stitch of the previous row. |
