Adapted from Day 195, this bay scallop design is found on page 97 in Bargello Magic by Pauline Fischer and Anabel Lasker.

The design can be worked in a traditional repeat motif or free-form style. I had quite a lot of fun working my own abstract interpretation using Silk n’ Ivory, J.L. Walsh Silk Wool, and Caron Watercolours.

You should check the pattern frequently to be certain the stitches in each scallop outline match according to the design.
