This canvaswork leaflet contains four traditional Bargello patterns that have endured the tests of time to become the favorites of stitchers everywhere.

The Blue Diamond Brocade Bargello pattern was designed to reflect the weave and texture of classic brocade fabrics. Through the use of short stitches and steps (2-1 and 4-1), the brocade effect is achieved. The larger the project the greater the texture.

As the name suggests, I used three shades of blue and one white and worked the Bargello pattern with Silk n’ Ivory and DMC Tapestry Wool.

Interesting Tidbit: Bargello Classic Collection

Shirley Delph began her design career in the fashion industry, and has been designing and stitching needlework for many years. There are five leaflets in her Bargello series.
