Stitching this Bargello needlepoint design is very simple. All stitches are worked over four or six threads of canvas and are done in simple horizontal rows.
Taken from the Bargello Dhurri Collection by Shirley Delph, this Bargello pattern only requires that you count the geometric motifs and the spaces between them.
Once you have stitched one motif, it is easy to fill in the rest.
I used an overdyed Gloriana Silk Floss and solid color Rainbow Gallery Splendor to work the design.

This lovely design is a combination of a repeat borer pattern and an all-over pattern filling the center area. Either pattern can be used alone or in combination with other patterns. |
