Probably the most popular Dhurri motif is the heart-shaped flower. This charming four-way Bargello needlepoint design by Shirley Delph is another of her whimsical Dhurri patterns.
This Bargello pattern starts from the center of the canvas and is stitched motif by motif with Gobelin outlines and diamond edges being worked last.
Several motifs worked side by side form an attractive Bargello design for a pillow.
For this Bargello motif, I used J.L. Walsh Silk Cord, Silk n’ Colors, Vineyard Silk and Silk Impressions by Steph Francis to work the design.

The individual hearts and flowers motifs can be used as a border or the entire Bargello design can be expanded to create a striking rectangular wall hanging . |
