Day 229: Swirl Bargello Needlepoint Border

This bargello needlepoint border consists of five rows of Gobelin Droit Filler stitch on each side with a swirl bargello in the middle.

Found on pp. 44-45 in Bargello Stars, Shells and Borders by Josephine Ruth Paine, the color placement must be planned so that the colors on each of the Gobelin rows are properly aligned.

I used Needle Necessities Overdyed Floss and DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss to work the bargello design.
