Day 23: Petite Bargello Chevrons Challenge Design

2010 bargello challenge, bargello, bargello embroidery, Bargello Needlepoint, bargello needlepoint patterns, bargello patterns, bargello stitch, Bargello: An Explosion In Color, Margaret Boyles, needlepoint books

These cute and petite Bargello needlepoint chevrons are only five sets of 4-2 steps to the lower edge. The pattern for this design can be found on pp. 70-71 in Bargello: An Explosion In Color by Margaret Boyles.

This design resembles a wallpaper pattern and is quite versatile–especially when stitched in a contemporary color scheme. I used chocolate, antique rose and a dusty light green for my color scheme.

I definitely will have to make a larger Bargello needlepoint project using this design…say a pillow, pencil holder or another accessory.
