Day 238: Burst of Spring Bargello Needlepoint Design

This bargello needlepoint pattern found on page 80-81 in Bargello Stars, Shells, and Borders by Josephine Ruth Paine, consists of a multi-dimensional blooming star motif.

Worked on 14-mesh canvas, the 4-2 step four-way bargello needlepoint design can be made into a coaster or used as an inset for a pillow or keepsake box.

I used a variety of thread bits to work the bargello pattern: Splendor Silk, English Flower Thread, Needle Necessities Overdyed Floss, and Alyce Stroth Needlepoint Silk.
