A family photo or delicate landscape shows to great advantage when placed in a photo frame with today’s easy bargello needlepoint border.
Found on pp. 6-7 in The Margaret Boyles Bargello Workbook, the bargello pattern has a series of diamonds within diamonds paired with a simple line design.
When worked on Congress cloth or 22-mesh needlepoint canvas, it makes a perfect a 6-inch square photo frame.
I used DMC Tapestry and Persian wool to work the bargello design.
