This very versatile pattern is found on page 75 in Bargello: An Explosion In Color by Margaret Boyles.

Work the navy blue outlines first, and then fill in with the green, followed by the yellow. Place a navy blue stitch in the center of the appropriate motif.

    I love this one! Still checking in every day…I have an old chair from auction and I’d like to cover the seat with a Bargello pattern. Can you imagine this pattern for that?

    There are some great patterns that will work up fast for your Bargello chair. Each day, after stitching I declare to my husband (the Bargello needlepoint critic) that I can’t wait to make a full size project of that day’s design. Of course I would never get anything else done. Seriously though, you should definitely cover the old chair. If you don’t have an idea how to begin, let me know. I’m planning to write a future article about how to get started. Althea
