The pattern in this Bargello design is easy to work. Known as the basket weave Bargello pattern, it contains 4 rows of stitches in steps that are placed so that each color group appears to interlock.
The brown colored stitches fill in the spaces that are left and add some depth to the design.

It has a 4-2 step, and can be stitched using a variety of color schemes from monochromatic to vibrant shades of complementary and analogous colors.
