As the title suggests, this Bargello pattern reminds me of juicy luscious purple grapes.
Taken from p.99 in Bargello: An Explosion In Color by Margaret Boyles , it is a perfect example of how to make curves in Bargello needlepoint.
I used a combination of 4 shades of purple Madeira Cotton Hand Embroidery Floss, and one shade of dark purple Splendor by Rainbow Gallery.
When working this 4-2 step Bargello embroidery, stitch a whole row of motifs beginning with the darkest color before going on to the next row. When all motifs have been stitched, fill in the diamond shapes.
