This Bargello pattern alternates three short stitches with three long ones.
Its 6-1 step forms a wishbone that appears prominent when worked in lots of bright colors.
Found on page 110 in Bargello: An Explosion In Color by Margaret Boyles, the pattern repetition is both fun to stitch and attractive as well.
I used the following color schemes in my interpretation of the Bargello design: 4 orange shades of DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss, 4 aqua shades of Silk n’ Ivory, and 4 green shades of Madeira Mouline Egyptian Cotton Embroidery Floss.
