To demonstrate how the emphasis of a Bargello design can change radically by using different color tones, this Bargello pattern, found on page 74 in Traditional Bargello by Dorothy Phelan has multi-colored intersecting circles.
The 4-2 step pattern was originally designed for 18 mesh needlepoint canvas; but it can be worked on 14-mesh as well. DMC Coton Perle is recommended; but since I have a fancy for Silk n’ Ivory threads, I used those instead.
