Spring is in the air and this Bargello pattern on pp. 84-85 in Traditional Bargello by Dorothy Phelan, will remind you of a field of strawberries. It can be used to make a pillow, pin cushion or as a border.
The Bargello design has mainly a 3-1 step for the motifs, with the background fill being a 4-2 step. Smaller stitches should be as needed to fit any remaining open canvas areas.
Although a variety of threads can be used in working the Strawberry Bargello Pattern, I used my favorite, Silk n’ Ivory, for a soft smooth effect.
