A new book is introduced today, Golden Hands Bargello from Random House. The Golden Hands series is well-known for flair and style as well as its clear and careful instructions.
The Bargello Trellis Pattern is found on pp. 6-7, and is easy to stitch. It takes you a step beyond basic zigzag or Bargello flame patterns.
The 4-2 step trellis lines are worked first beginning at the top center of the canvas, followed by the darkest section of each colored diamond, and then the remaining section.
I used DMC Pearl Coton, Watercolours by Caron, and Pebby Perle by Rainbow Gallery to stitch the design.

Hello Deb,
Thanks for the encouragement! It keeps me stitchin’. Althea
I’m so glad you’re including patterns from this book. It’s been a real inspiration to me as I stitch pillows for my daughter’s retro bedroom decor–bright colors and intricate patchwork patterns.
Keep up the good work…I tune in every day just to see what new pattern you’re introducing.
