The Golden Hands series is well-known for flair and style as well as its clear and careful instructions.

The Bargello Trellis Pattern is found on pp. 6-7, and is easy to stitch. It takes you a step beyond basic zigzag or Bargello flame patterns.

The 4-2 step trellis lines are worked first beginning at the top center of the canvas, followed by the darkest section of each colored diamond, and then the remaining section.

I used DMC Pearl Coton, Watercolours by Caron, and Pebby Perle by Rainbow Gallery to stitch the design.

I’m so glad you’re including patterns from this book. It’s been a real inspiration to me as I stitch pillows for my daughter’s retro bedroom decor–bright colors and intricate patchwork patterns.

Keep up the good work…I tune in every day just to see what new pattern you’re introducing.
