I love samplers…and Bargello samplers are loads of fun! I’m currently working on one (it will be featured in a future post); but this FREE pattern by Su Mwamba of TangleCraft is a great way to spend some quality Bargello needlepoint stitching time. You’ll use several stitch techniques including Bargello.
There’s mosaic, double cross stitch, and eyelet stitches. The Chart is Part 1 of a Bargello Sampler from TangleCraft; however, you could make three additional parts by mirroring the design to make a pillow or a variety of other items.
This pattern has been designed for 28 count even weave fabric, but works equally well on 18-mesh needlepoint canvas. Use 6-strand embroidery floss or silk and your choice of color scheme.
