Stitching on plastic canvas had held no real attraction for me until I came across this free tutorial on making needlepoint pendants at the Crafty Pod.

Now, I absolutely MUST try fashioning a pendant or two (or maybe even a pair of earrings) in Bargello needlepoint stitches!

According to the Tutorial by Sister Diane, you can use 10 or 14-count plastic canvas and odds and ends of embroidery floss from your needlepoint stash to whip up charming creations in a matter of minutes.

Go over to the Crafty Pod for step-by-step directions. Then, design your own jewelry using Bargello stitches. I’m planning on making a few and will keep you posted on my progress!
