Magnify Your Bargello Needlepoint

I always use some form of magnification when stitching Bargello needlepoint. One of my favorite tools is this magnifying lamp because of the ease with which you can turn, bend and adjust as needed for stitching. It’s great for those bargello projects stitched on congress cloth or fine linen and the circular bulb lasts a long time.

The Professional’s Floor Standing Magnifier Lamp

Used by jewelers, draftsmen, and industrial model makers, this lamp provides a brightly lit, enlarged field of view for hands-free, detailed work or reading fine print. Its 22-watt circline fluorescent tube casts an even circle of white light while the 5″ diameter lens is precision-ground, crown optical glass for near-zero light refraction and dispersion. It has a power of three diopters to make objects appear 75% larger than actual size. Mounted on a unique, freestanding “floating arm” system of counterbalancing springs and joints, its position can be instantly and easily adjusted. This is a great form of lighting and very useful. floor standing lamps really help light up a small place and are perfect sources of light during the winter.
