That was fun! But, what I really want to know is, where can I see a bigger picture, or get the pattern for the bargello picture that went with the quiz!
The picture is of a Bargello pillow I made decades ago (smile). It was adapted from Bargello by Margaret Boyles and is featured on the cover page with the instruction on the inside of the same page. Happy Stitching!
It’s scary – I got them all right!!! Refreshing break from needlepoint snowman that just isn’t working out well.
I’m glad you enjoyed the quiz. By the way, how can I help you with your needlepoint snowman? Althea
I think the most help would be a total rewrite of the instructions. What I ran into was that the chart that showed how to do the background snowflakes showed the snowflakes done over a total of 8 threads. The chart that showed how the snowflakes all connect in the background showed snowflakes over 6 threads. After a bit of ripping I graphed my own background using the over 8 thread snowflake, which looks much nicer than the one over 6 threads.
I also have run into areas where the instructions say to use 3 threads and that is just too much for the stitch and area. I’ve started trying out the stitches in the extra material before using them on the actual piece.
Thanks for your offer of help. Luckily it’s been rather slow here at work so I’m doing it in the quiet times.
