Stitching a Bargello needlepoint project with silk threads in bright color schemes can make a striking impression and achieve stunning results.

Silk in general is more expensive and fragile than Persian wool or cotton; but is a good choice for small Bargello projects or specialty needlepoint items.

Silk Impressions by Steph Francis

Rating: ★★★★★

Silk Impressions by Steph Francis is a beautiful hand-dyed 12-strand silk embroidery floss that comes in 40 solid and multi-colored combinations.

Six strands inserted in a tapestry needle provide adequate coverage on 18-mesh canvas. All 12 strands are needed for 14-mesh canvas.

To maximize the gorgeous sheen of this silk thread, make sure the strands are inserted in the same direction in the needle.

Review
