Because the wallet is a gift for a male, I stitched it in black and charcoal silk on 18-mesh canvas. I think he will appreciate the subtle free-form design. On the other hand, it was important that my niece’s gift fit her personality, so I fashioned a Bargello needlepoint design that would be both beautiful and functional. Using a traditional Florentine embroidery pattern with a 6-1 step, I stitched the design on 18-mesh canvas in a red and green complementary color scheme. [...]</description>
